LUXURIOUS CABINS & WELLNESS ONBOARD OCEAN ALBATROS

Ocean Albatros is the perfect addition to our fleet, due to its nautical technology and innovative low-energy usage. She’s been designed and is currently undergoing additional preparations to satisfy our Nordic standards of service.

Our objective for safe and transformational experiences, distinguished lectures and programs, and superior-quality stays on our vessels, can now also manifest through more gentle sea crossings and a luxurious experience onboard.

Her X-BOW™ - Infinity class provides high stability in rough weather and high waves, and the spacious cabins allow for comfort and leisure between locations. Several restaurants, a wellness center and all the commodities to complete a dream voyage to the Antarctic region.

There are private balconies in approx. 90% of the staterooms, allowing you to behold the magnitude of the open ocean all around you.

Family Suite
Family suite - 52 m2 – BS (Brynhilde Suite)
The largest of all the staterooms on board the Ocean Albatros is the Family Suite. The Double-Bedroom, Family Suite is going to be located on Deck 7, featuring two interconnecting French Balcony Suites, accommodating up to 5 people on two double beds and a sofa bed.

Premium suite
Premium suite - 45 m2 – FS (Freydis Suite)
The second largest of all the staterooms on board the Ocean Albatros is the Premium Suite. This 2-bedroom suite features a double bed (or twin beds), a sofa bed, table and chair, a balcony and a spacious bathroom. Located on deck.4.

Category A Suite
Junior suite - 42 m2
The 4 junior suites aboard Ocean Albatros have a great view from their location high up on the ship on deck 7.
The suites feature a double bed or twin beds, sofa bed, seating area, a spacious bathroom and a private balcony. The suite can accommodate up to 3 people.

Category B Suite
Balcony Suite approximately - 32 m2
Ocean Albatros has 6 Balcony Suites on board located on decks 4 & 6. The suites feature double or twin beds and a seating area, bathroom, and a large balcony. The balcony suites can host 2 people.

Category C Stateroom
Balcony Stateroom - 22 m2
The most abundant type of Stateroom on Ocean Albatros located on decks 4 & 6. They have a balcony, a double bed or two single beds, a bathroom and a sofa that can be used as a bed for a child if traveling as a family. If you desire to book two staterooms with connecting doors, this is also a possibility within this category.

Category D Stateroom
Albatros Stateroom (Porthole) - 22 m2
The standard Stateroom on Ocean Albatros is close to the Mudroom and has quick access to the Zodiac platforms for disembarkation during landings. This is very convenient if you have more limited mobility and would like a short distance to the Zodiacs. The State Rooms are perfect for those who wish a comfortable base during their stay onboard Ocean Albatros. The standard State Rooms all have a double bed or 2 single beds and a bathroom. The State Rooms are located on deck 3 and 4.

Category E Stateroom
French Balcony Stateroom - 16 m2
The French Balcony Stateroom is a standard Stateroom with a French balcony, a double bed, floor-to-ceiling windows and a bathroom. All French Balcony Suites are located on Deck 7.

Category F Stateroom
Triple Stateroom (Porthole) - 22 m2
There are four Triple Staterooms on board Ocean Albatros featuring portholes, all with private en-suites. Located on Deck 3, they're close to the mudroom and loading platforms.
Triple staterooms are normally with twin beds however a double bed can be accommodated.

Category G Stateroom
Single Stateroom (Porthole) - 14 m2
Standard single Stateroom onboard, located on deck 3. This is a conveniently located State Room close to the Mudroom which facilitates access to the Zodiacs during embarkation and disembarkation to begin your adventures.

A variety of observation decks are accessible from multiple indoor spaces. Two hydraulic platforms can be lowered to offer unprecedented near-water-level views – and rare photograph opportunities. Even the two outdoor Jacuzzis provide 360 views of the mesmerizing landscape that surrounds you.

The Ocean Albatros is powered by two diesel and two electro engines, controlled electronically to optimize speed and fuel efficiency. Compared to traditional expedition ships, this technology allows the ship to reduce its carbon footprint by 50%. And by implementing the Green Initiative Program, we ensure the highest standards for both maximum comfort and sustainability practices for our ship, and for all our guests.

Observation Decks are essential to an optimal expedition experience. Ocean Albatros offers superior observation decks, for the best views of the polar landscapes. Our vessel’s patented X-Bow allows unobstructed views to the sea from the Observation Decks on Decks 8 and 9, and unique retractable hydraulic platforms on Deck 5 allow almost water-level viewing. These give our guests better, closer, and entirely unobstructed views of icebergs, birds and whales, bringing them closer nature’s pristine majesty.

Vitus Bering Lecture Hall
What makes a good expedition? It is the combination of activities both ashore and onboard the ship. At Polar Latitudes, we are honoured to have a variety of experts in their fields in our Expedition Team, from climatologists and geologists to marine biologists, historians and renowned photographers, all eager to share their adventures and knowledge with our guests. Join the team daily for specially crafted lectures, recaps of the day’s activities and a variety of other activities such as photography workshops and wildlife watches.

Jens Munk Restaurant
Dinner always starts with delicious hot soups, cold cuts and crisp, fresh salads. Several choices of entrées are offered each evening. To accommodate different tastes and dietary requirements, guests can choose from a selection of meat, fish and vegetarian options.
After dinnerm indulge in freshly prepared desserts, including ship-made ice cream or cakes… A great way to end a meal and satisfy any sweet tooth!
Onboard we have several bars and a large selection of fine beverages, featuring wine-tasting menus developed in partnership with French wine producer and expert Gerard Bertrand - a leader in biodynamically farmed wines.
